Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with us when you enquire about or book a stay.

Who we are
The Riv Eco Villa is a private eco-luxury villa in Riverston, Matale, Sri Lanka. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please ask us.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Enquiry form — your name and email address, and optionally a subject, phone number and message.
- Availability form — your preferred check-in and check-out dates and the number of adults and children travelling.
- Direct contact — anything you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
We do not ask for payment card details on this website, and we do not run accounts, logins or comments here.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your enquiry, prepare and manage your stay, and keep the records a hospitality business is expected to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Booking through our reservations partner
When you check availability, you are taken to our reservations partner, letsbook.me, to complete the booking. The dates and guest numbers you entered are carried across. From that point their own privacy terms apply to the booking process, including any payment details you provide there.
Content embedded from other services
Some pages include a map from Google Maps and videos from YouTube. When those load, the provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, just as if you had visited their site directly. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which limits what it records until you press play.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Cookies may still be set by the embedded services described above, and by our hosting and security provider to keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
Hosting and security
The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes limited technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block malicious traffic.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable record of guest communication, and booking records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. We remove what we no longer need.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date above.
