THINGS TO KNOW

Wear sturdy hiking boots with excellent grip for the steep and rocky sections.

Bring an extra change of clothes if you plan to cool off in the nearby river after completing the long hike.

Carry at least two liters of drinking water per person, as there is absolutely no shade at the summit.

Bring all plastic wrappers and empty bottles back down to keep the village and trails clean.

The summit weather can change rapidly from intense heat to heavy mist, so carry sun protection and a light rain jacket.
